Knut was no longer the cuddly little teddy bear romping with a soccer ball, but a 245-pound eating machine. But to Berliners, he was still cute little Knut.

　　The cheerful crowd applauded when Knut was given his birthday cake made of boiled rice, bananas and raisins. A group of school kids sang "Happy birthday to Knut," turning this otherwise gray day into a celebrity party.

　　当“克努特”吃上用煮熟的大米、香蕉和葡萄干做成的生日蛋糕时，高兴的观众纷纷鼓掌喝彩。一群学生随即唱起来：“祝克努特生日快日”，将这个灰暗的一天变成了一个欢庆的派对。
